Bangalore Days-Demolished by corruption

Recently Bangalore Municipal Corporation has started a demolition drive in the city to clear what they call “illegal” encroachments. The officials demolished thousands of houses, citing encroachment of lakes and connecting canals. While doing so they relied on a 1905 British map of the city. Citizens are shocked and the tales of destruction are heart breaking.

The officials argue that most of the structures are built on canals or Rajakaluve as they are called in Kannada, which were built by the British to connect different lakes.
There used to around 600 lakes in the city some forty years ago but  now about 50 lakes exist and most of them are dead or in the process of being encroached upon by builders who are encouraged by corrupt municipal officials, corporators and politicians.

This is all started with software and outsourcing boom happened in Bangalore in the last twenty years .A large number of MNCs set up their software development centers here and made the city the hub of their outsourcing services providing service to clients from all over the world .A lot of software parks and offices were build and it brought a lot of jobs and prosperity to the city .People from all over the country came here and made the city their home .This resulted in a heavy demand for housing .A construction boom followed with construction of houses and apartment complexes and malls happening in a rapid pace all over the city .But there was no control or regulation on how this is being done .From here started the misery of Bangalore .

Builders with support of corrupt municipal officials, coroporators and politicians encroached most of lakes, lake beds and canals .The houses and apartments  were built in these places  which blocked free flow water between lakes.

Unsuspecting common man bought houses and apartments built on these places, with loans approved by Banks. Most of them have all the necessary valid documents issued by the Government and BBMP like possession certificate,A Katha,Encumbrance certificate .They built their houses as per plans approved by the municipal corporation. They are paying their property taxes regularly and have valid electricity and water connections. Suddenly their houses are under the threat of demolition and their livelihood is in danger .Now the officials say that most of these  documents are fake, forged by corrupt officials and action will be takes against them.

Recently there were instances of heavy flooding in many newly developed areas and it was happening year after year .Previously there used to be canals through which lakes were connected and water used to drain through them even if there was heavy rains. But new constructions blocked these canals and the government decided to demolish all unauthorized constructions.

But the question is how to go about it? Desperate Government realized that there were no authentic records or maps which will guide them, so they decided to make 1905 map prepared by the British as basis for carrying out the demolitions and most of houses destroyed are of common man who built or bought them with their hard earned money and have all the necessary records to prove it .The officials moved in suddenly and without warning or any notice started the demolition .It is very difficult to listen to heart rending tales of common people who lost everything they have one fine morning .Another ridiculous argument of the officials is that they are demolishing houses built on canals connecting lakes but in reality most these lakes do not even exist as they are already been encroached upon and houses were built on it

Now who is to blame for this mess? The Government says it is the common man to be blamed as they built houses on encroached lands .This is a ridiculous argument as they have all the necessary approvals from the municipal corporation which is part of the Government .The real culprits are the municipal officials from bottom to top ,
Corporators of all parties and builders most them are benamis for reputed politicians.

When the public outrage grew Government assured that strict action will be taken against all those responsible for the mess and just to show registered cases against some officials. Public anger is raging against the Government and the corrupt officials and politicians and every one is of the opinion that only the houses of the common man will be demolished and big builders and politicians who are big time encroachers will not be touched .If that happens the Government will have to pay a heavy price for it in future.

Krishna –Manifestation of the Supreme

Today is Janmashtami. The birthday of Krishna who is worshipped by millions as the supreme god. The day is marked with prayers, processions ,fasting, singing ,dancing and making special dishes and offering it to God.An atmosphere of joy and devotion prevails all over in these gloomy times .

Krishna is also known as Govinda, Mukunda, Madhusudhana and Vasudeva. Krishna is often described and portrayed as an infant eating butter, a young boy playing a flute as in the Bhagavata Purana, a young man along with Radha, a young man surrounded by women or as an elder giving direction and guidance as in the Bhagavad Gita. The stories of Krishna appear across a broad spectrum of Hindu philosophical and theological traditions. They portray Him in various perspectives: a god-child, a prankster, a model lover, a divine hero, and the Supreme Being. The principal scriptures discussing Krishna's story are the Srimad Bhagavatam, the Mahabharata, the Harivamsa, the Bhagavata Purana, and the Vishnu Purana. The anecdotes and narratives of Krishna, in topic, are generally titled as Krishna Leela.

Krishna is a very fascinating .Krishna talks himself as God and Swami Vivekananda says

Krishna talks of himself as God. He sees the Deity in himself. And He says, "None can go a day out of my path. All have to come to me. Whosoever wants to worship in whatsoever form, I give him faith in that form, and through that I meet him. ..”

Krishna is an integral part of our believes , tradition and culture from time immemorial. So many temples, songs, dances, stories paintings and various other art forms are created only to worship Him. This is in line with our philosophy which says whatever you do should be done as an offering to God .This continues even today .

Another fascinating aspect of Krishna worship is that His worship can be customized as you want .He can be worshipped  as your infant son, as your mischievous little kid doing pranks and steals butter ,grown up kid who roams around with his friends and cows while eliminating demons who has been sent to kill him, for ladies as the perfect young man of their dreams ,as ideal tactician and fighter ,a great motivator when you are depressed and the giver of salvation or the ultimate of goal Moksha,  the release from the cycle of rebirth impelled by the law of karma, the transcendent state attained as a result of being released from the cycle of rebirth.

You worship Him in any form you want and the great thing is that even if you think of Him as an enemy all the time, fights Him and get killed by Him, still you will attain Him .This was shown in the case of Kamsa and Jarasandha .Even if you are thinking about Him and planning to destroy Him you are still thinking about Him. According to Him he is the servant of those who think about Him always leaving aside everything and there is no discrimination as friend and foe in this.

In Modern times the examples will be the atheists, secular leftist intellectuals who constantly criticise and deny everything about Him, pointing out about His short comings is also worshipping Him as they are constantly thinking about Him .

Comrades of Kerala are another example who was denying everything about Him is celebrating His birthday in a grand scale now. This is a best example of Krishna Leela in modern times

Krishna is the manifestation or Avataar of God who showed the world how to behave in different situations in life and not get carried away by the circumstances.

The message of Krishna for the world is as Swami Vivekananda says

In Krishna we find ... two ideas [stand] supreme in his message: The first is the harmony of different ideas; the second is non-attachment. A man can attain to perfection, the highest goal, sitting on a throne, commanding armies, working out big plans for nations. In fact, Krishna's great sermon was preached on the battlefield Krishna did everything but without any attachment; he was in the world, but not of it. "Do all work but without attachment; work for work's sake, never for yourself.

Bhagavad-Gita the sermon given to Arjuna by Him in the  midst of two huge armies in the battlefield of Kurukshetra is the ultimate inspirational words given to Mankind .It clearly describes how one should navigate through different situations in life and  not to get attached to circumstances or  actions ,how to keep a balanced intellect and achieve the ultimate goals in your life .Krishna also shows  Arjuna His real form or the Viswaroopam which shows everything in the Universe is embedded in Him and everything is a manifestation of Him

Bhagavad-Gita has inspired and continues to inspire millions of people all over the world to lead a harmonious and blissful life .It inspired and continues to inspire many to do great work to help people to achieve freedom from oppressors, help the poor and provide education and health care to the needy. It has now being included in the curriculum of some of the greatest business schools in the world to teach people the need for balanced and non attached view of various life situations,

The life of Krishna and His teaching is relevant today, will be relevant tomorrow and always.

As Swami Vivekananda explains

In the Krishna Incarnation He says that the root of all sorts of misery is Avidyâ (Nescience) and that selfless work purifies the mind. Krishna did everything but without any attachment; he was in the world, but not of it. "Do all work but without attachment; work for work's sake, never for yourself

It will inspire millions to work without attachment to achieve the ultimate goals in their lives and give inspiration and guidance to millions to uplift their lives and fill it with joy and happiness.

May this Janamashtami shower on you blossoms of love and peace. May the divine grace of Lord Krishna be with you today and always.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare …

Talking About sabarimala

Nowadays the main discussion is  about  Sabarimala .Heated discussions are going on about introducing paid darshan, stopping VIP darshan and opening the temple throughout the year to reduce the rush of pilgrims .There are a lot of people voicing their opinions for and against these measures .The exchange of words between CM Pinarayi Vijayan and DB president Mr.Gopala Krishnan during a meeting on Sabarimala started the discussion .DB president voiced his opinion against some suggestions made the CM ,who asked him to listen to what the he says as he is the CM of the state.

Before introducing any new measures first the Government should make sure there are all necessary infrastructure in place for the pilgrim who currently visit the Shrine during the pilgrim season .Any pilgrim who visits Sabarimala regularly can vouch that the facilities provided  for them are very basic ,no major improvement have been taken place recently apart from constructing some buildings and introducing on line booking for Darshan.Pilgrims have to wait in queue for hours to have a glimpse of the Lord and then have to stand in the queue for more time to buy the prasdam .Accommodation and sanitation facilities are very poor .The main obstacle for developing more infrastructure seems the availability of land as there is strong objection from Forest Department giving more land as the shrine comes under the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary .Not even a single branch of  a tree can be cut without their permission.
The availability of clean water for drinking and bathing is also a challenge

The Government, DB and all the other stake holders should sit together and find a solution to these problems before introducing new measures as of now the hill shrine is under tremendous strain due to these factors.

As for CM Pinarayi Vijayan, he should remember that he is the Chief Minister of the state and when making statements should be very careful what he says, how he says and when he says about issues affecting the state.

Then only his stature will raise from being a leader of a political party to an able administrator who can carry all sections of people along and resolve issues facing the people of the state .An attitude of confrontation may be good for the secretary of the party to please the party cadres but not good for a Chief Minister of the state.

It is high time that the CM to throw out the so called advisor and media advisor as they are of no use, incapable of giving the right advise  and are good only to participate in TV discussion as the Government faces on controversy after another.

The activities of extremist elements of all types are on the rise in the state .The Government have a delicate job fighting it without alienating any section of the society.

All India Strike Festival

A Special Announcement        All India Strike Read and share

Dear Friends ,

We have been celebrating “ All India strike festival “ for the last few years irrespective of which Government is in Power.

This year this festival will be celebrated on Friday,2 nd Sept 2016 which will result in
Crores of Rupees loss for the Nation and bring great inconvenience to the people of the nation at the start of the festival season .That is our main aim, apart from that this is just an annual ritual. This year we have decided to make a grand celebration ..

This year we have lined up some programmes conducted by our great “ labour” leaders.

First there will be “inspirational” talks by various trade union leaders and other party officials who has never worked for a day in their lives but have assets worth crores of Rupees just by “ serving “ the humble labourers of India ..

Then there will be programs by “student” leaders .Main attraction will be  a leader who even at the age of 30 studying hard in the  University and in the free time during studies is supporting people who chant anti national slogans, support terrorists and question Indian Judiciary for punishing a terrorist. He is busy traveling all over the country to create support for his “noble” cause but there will be a special “Azaadi” slogan chanting concert by this leader and his supporters.

In Kerala ,there will be talks and slogan chanting by “student “ leaders and other “intellectuals “ currently on a “ struggle” to prevent a statue of Sree Adi Sankara being installed in a University which carries the name as Sree Adi Sankara Sanskrit University because they feel the installation of this statue will create “communal mayhem “ and “saffronisation”.,

.They  will not speak a word against other elements who are openly recruiting people and sending them to terror organizations abroad, because it will come under our “protection of the minorities “ program.

Special instructions for the people of Kerala

The strike festival is coming on the 2 day of the month ,please make sure that all “arrangements “are made  before the 1 st Sept because you will not be able to buy the necessary “ things “ which is essential to celebrate this festival ,as the  shops that  sell these “things “will be closed on the first of every month .

By
Your “humble “ leaders

Election Campaign ...How to deflect from the real issues ...

Looks like the LDF and the so called "intellectuals "and media has fallen into the Somalia trap laid by Oommen Chandy ..by trying to criticise Modi on this they are giving credibility to the development and good rule claims of Mr Chandy. No body talks about corruption, scams, atrocities against women in the last few days of the campaign ..Real issues faded into background LDF campaign lost focus exactly what Chandy wanted ...

Election is here ...Must Vote but think clearly before the Vote ...

In this  election I  do not know if UDF will win or LDF will win or BJP will open its account or not .But observing the campaign of the last few days I feel the real issues are pushed to the background .The main issue right now is not the Solar or Bar Scams ,Corruption of CM and his ministers ,Failure to nab the culprits in the brutal killing of Jisha, extreme draught faced by the state ,destruction of greenery and water bodies, absolute power enjoyed by certain community leaders in the Government, interference of Church and other religious leaders to influence voters   but it is Modi who is hogging all the limelight in the last few days .

Whatever he said in his speech is right or not, Congress used it to attack him, Sonia Gandhi became suddenly patriotic, all the leaders are attacking Modi diverting from the real issues..Left fell in this trap ,who thinks it is their historical responsibility to oppose “communal “ BJP followed .Left leaders visiting Kerala is not talking about Oommen Chandy and his corrupt rule but criticising Modi ..Media is also doing their bit by “discussing” about it their night programs.BJP is extremely happy in the turn of events as everybody is talking about them and their leader .The funniest thing is that it is all happening in the campaign for a state election where BJP has no MLAs and limited influence …

Appeal to all voters of all parties to think about the real issues affecting the state and cast your valuable vote accordingly …Do not fall for the false propaganda or else you will regret it for the next five years …Our vote is that matters most in our democracy ..
